Cinnamon fingers

Somewhere I read this post.

 "If you are Happy, bake the cake;
If you are sad, bake the cake "

Yes these lines wrote by someone is really true. Baking is one of the amazing hobby that helps to get rid of stress. As we recently upgraded our conventional oven to an ultimate level, thought I can improve lots of baking skills. And tadaaa 😎😎😎😎😎 Result of new addition to kitchen tempt me to bake something interesting every other day. One of the interesting, simple recipe is cinnamon fingers. I remember eating this long back in a Halloween celebration at my friends place. She made a really nice cinnamon sticks like spooky fingers just to add thing for Halloween 😨😨. I tried with her same recipe and its just WOW. Lets check this recipe Cinnamon Fingers.

Ingredients :

Unsalted butter - 40gm (Softened)
Granulated Sugar - 2 tbsp
All purpose flour - 1 1/2 cup (leveled)
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Milk - 2 tsp
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Salt - a pinch
Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp or as needed

Method :

In a mixing bowl, add softened butter, sugar, pinch of salt and flour. Mix it well using blender until it become crumbly. Now add vanilla essence and 2 tsp of milk to the crumbled mixture and make it as pilable smooth dough. Wrap the dough in cling wrap and chill it for 1 hour. Shape dough into 3 inch finger shaped lengths. (You can also roll it and make desired shape too).

In the meantime, preheat the oven to 350.

Transfer the shaped dough to cookie sheet and bake it for 10-15 minutes until the edges are golden brown and crispy. Mine took 12 minutes to bake.

In another small saucer bowl, add granulated sugar & cinnamon powder with 1 tsp of milk and 1 tsp of softened butter. Roll the baked cookies  in cinnamon- sugar mixture while it is still warm. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store it in airtight container.

This will be nice tea time snack. Enjoy cinnamon fingers as I did now. 😋😋😋
